What is all the fuss about white fillings? The benefit of white fillings is that they are more natural looking, and when you smile or laugh, people cannot see them, as they can be matched to the colour of your teeth. Dental white fillings are strong, durable, and designed to match your natural tooth structure. The composite resins used for white fillings are quite resilient and can withstand bacterial attacks and cavities. The cost of the procedure will vary, depending on the location of the cavity, and the extent of the tooth decay. Our dental team will notify you of costs before providing treatment.
We are excited to be offering this new innovation in dental fillings. A laser in used to remove the decay within a tooth and prepare the surrounding enamel. Laser fillings do not require local anesthetic, however, can cause cold sensitivity during the procedure.
**laser fillings are not available for every patient/situation. Please call the office or talk to your dentist to see if laser fillings are right for you

Each of our teeth contains a long, thin strand of dental pulp (which provides the tooth with nutrients and nerves) that extends down to the tooth’s root. If the pulp becomes infected or damaged the tooth’s nerves die and, often, without treatment, the tooth dies as well. Root canals are designed to save such damaged teeth. During the procedure, a gap is drilled into the tooth, diseased pulp is re-shaped or removed, and a filling is placed on the tooth. Eventually, because the tooth can be fragile, we will recommend getting a crown to cover the tooth.
Missing a tooth? A permanent dental implant might be right for you. A metal implant is inserted into the jawbone and a temporary crown is placed on top. After a 2-3 months, to give your implant time to heal, you will come back to have the permanent crown attached.
